Who Will Win? The Rabbit or The Hare? Does Anyone Really Even Care?

My new job in Customer Service is losing its new car smell. I am finding myself void of creativity and passion. Interesting, how every job that I have ever had, eventually ends up crushing my soul instead of enhancing my God-given skills and enthusiasm to log into my computer every day. "Today is going to be a great day!" is a mantra I have long since given up on while trying to rationalize a great salary or benefits in exchange for morale-boosting work.

That said, I am looking forward to welcoming a new government on September 20th. It seems to be the time for the Liberals to step down and let PC take the reins for the next 4 years. Nothing personal, it is just time. I gotta say, I do love Trudeau. Scandal or no scandal - any leader who walks around with a Superman costume under his suit is undeniably awesome. However, according to my customers, if he visits the west coast, he will be murdered. Heck! He was already stoned in London. Now, I am not talking about the cannabis legalization he passed during his term as Prime Minister. I am talking about people having so much hatred for this man that they would bend over and touch the COVID-infested ground only to throw gravel at this well-respected man.

Have we ever had a Prime Minister murdered in Canada? I don't think so. And I don't think we should start with Trudeau. Justin, stay home, and stay safe. But, please don't let it be Erin O'Toole! The name says it all...

I, once again, find myself cheerleading on the sidelines for NDP. It makes more sense now. Jagmeet Singh is the same colour as me! Unfortunately, I have been told that a vote for NDP is a vote for PC. As you can probably tell by now, I have zero political knowledge...

Since I began this blog post mentioning my lack of creativity and passion, this will most likely be my last post in a long while. So, I leave you with this, as we anticipate who the next leader of Canada will be this week: One of the running political parties left a flyer in my mailbox and I found the content to be very alarming. While other parties are campaigning around the country, this party is wasting paper and postage, subjecting our household to misinformation and plain old lies. If you have seen this flyer, I ask you to compost it as this would be the only way that such an appalling piece of (il)literature can be recovered from the wastage they have created. Use it to cut veggies on or let the worms feed on it, but please do not allow this nonsense to get back out to the general public for fear that someone as undecided as me, closing their eyes and placing an X in the first box they see, will consciously choose to vote for this party.

Instead of using modern technology to promote an event, this flyer was sent to inform us of The Great Canadian Comeback Rally. I'm glad I missed it. It seems that the team colours are people, as shown on the purple flyer, with a lady in a purple jacket and a purple hat, sitting in a lavender field. Lavender is supposed to relaxing. However, nothing in this flyer gave me that impression. According to this flyer, my freedom is at stake if I do not vote for this party. Which party, you might want to know at this point? I won't say, but please don't confuse it for the PC party. The acronyms are very similar. In case there IS any confusion, they have taken it upon themselves to help you with the big decision on September 20th. The PC party, for example, wants to fund the fake news (CBC), put Canada last, and threaten free speech. The Liberal party, according to this flyer, will ban free speech and will also put Canada last. The choice is obvious - NDP! They didn't even make the list...

This party plans to stop lockdowns, refuse vaccine passports, stop mass immigration, defund the CBC, cut foreign aid, repeal Trudeau's gun law, and, of course, only protect free speech. They will be putting Canada first because, you know, they have Canada in their name, after all.

On September 20th, please vote wisely. Do not throw away your vote. It does count, even when it doesn't feel like it does. I know who will be winning in my riding, but that doesn't mean I won't vote for change. When there are those out there who are rallying to take us back to the past by 60 years, we need you now, more than ever, to vote and speak up for what it is that you truly want.
